Primary is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted by the judges of The Private Equity Awards 2017 for ‘UK Mid-Cap Deal of the Year’, for the highly successful exit of Leisure Pass. Leisure Pass was sold to Exponent Private Equity in December 2016, and generated a 7x return for Primary’s third fund, Primary III.
Primary acquired Leisure Pass in 2012 from a group of private investors. Since then the business has trebled both its revenues and EBITDA through strong growth in its core markets as well as product and further international expansion.
In 2014, Primary was awarded “UK Mid-Cap Deal of the Year” for its 2013 sale of Napier Turbochargers to Wabtec Corporation for $112.5 million, generating a return of 5.5x for Primary III.
The winner will be announced at the 16th Real Deals Private Equity Awards dinner in April.
